For a comparison, I have used Menials for around 150km and they look new.

In terms of caring, they get bath after each walk and after that are left to dry. I’m not fastidious in getting mud off. Wipe round with cloth is good. Once dry then I pour little water on it and if it balls & runs off, fine it is wax time.

In brief, I now take Brashers until I know that there is lots of rock walking, uneven off stuff and heavy load carrying and then extra protection of Meindls is priceless.

I have pair of Super lites and am size of 11. Brasher weigh around 1240g & Meindls 1880g that includes laces & relatively clean. That is big difference in a long day.
